Information Planet Workshop Prague

We are pleased to invite you to the IP Workshop 2025, that is returning to Prague, Czech Republic!

This event with a long tradition has always provided a wonderful opportunity to present your schools to the diverse market of our European offices, strengthen collaboration within our network, and connect with both new and long-standing partners.

During the Information Planet workshop you will meet directors and agents from our offices in Czech, Slovakia, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Portugal and the Global product team.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Hotel Savoy Prague is a hotel in a historical part of Prague, just a 5-minute walk from the Prague Castle!

Majority of the meetings will take place in their library space. Surrounded by unique and valuable book collection of classical masterpieces written by great minds, we too shall be inspired and create something special!

HOW TO GET THERE

By Uber/Bolt/Taxi:

In Prague, you can use regular taxis or services like Uber or Bolt, which can be ordered via mobile apps or at kiosks located in the airport.

By public transport:

Prague has one of the most efficient and reliable public transport systems in the world. To find your route, you can use Google Maps. The hotel is located just across the street from the Pohorelec tram stop, with trams number 12 and 22.

Tickets:

A regular 90-minute transferable ticket costs CZK 42 (approx. €1.80). Tickets can be purchased with a card at ticket machines in metro and trams or via the PID Lítacka mobile app.

Our journey began in 1996 in Sydney, Australia, when Mauricio Pucci founded 'Information Brazil' to help Brazilian friends study, work, and travel in Australia. This initiative quickly became a trusted resource for Brazilian students seeking opportunities Down Under.

At the same time, in the Czech Republic, Josef Kysilka launched a similar agency, assisting European clients in studying in Australia. In 2004, a strategic partnership between Mauricio and Josef led to the establishment of the 'Australian Education Centre' in Sydney, which later evolved into Information Planet.

Information Planet Czech Republic, owned by Josef Kysilka, is part of this global network. Initially focused on sending students to Australia, our portfolio has expanded to include destinations like Canada, USA, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. We specialize in higher education, high school programs, as well as language courses, and vocational training. We couldn't achieve this without the valuable feedback of IP network and the support of dedicated partners.

Prague Castle = the largest castle complex in the world, offering breathtaking views and rich history.

Czech food and where to find it:

Beer = light lager is the national pride

Svíčková na smetaně = creamy marinated beef sirloin with dumplings

Hovězí guláš = Hearty beef goulash with bread or dumplings

Smažený sýr = Deep-fried cheese with tartar sauce

Koláče = traditional pastries with poppy seeds, quark or fruit

The Czech Republic uses the Czech koruna (CZK) as its official currency. Most places accept credit and debit cards.

If you need to exchange money, please check the current exchange rate and use accredited exchange offices or banks.

Czech may look like a secret code at first... but don’t worry! Here are a few fun phrases to help you charm the locals:

Ahoj! = Hello! (Informal)

Dobrý den = Good day (For when you want to sound polite)

Děkuji = Thank you (Always a winner)

Prosím = Please / You’re welcome / Excuse me (One word, many uses!)

Na zdraví! = Cheers! (Very important)

Pivo, prosím = A beer, please (You’ll fit right in)
